The Most Common Questions About Therapy
What is therapy and how can it help me?
Therapy is a collaborative process where you can explore thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in a safe, confidential space. It helps you gain insight, develop coping strategies, and create meaningful change in your life and relationships.
How much does therapy cost?
The fee is $210 per session (45–50 minutes). Insurance is not accepted, but a superbill can be provided for reimbursement purposes.
How soon can I schedule an appointment?
How long does therapy usually last?
The length of therapy varies depending on your goals, consistency, and level of engagement. Progress is regularly reviewed, and treatment is tailored to your unique needs.
How often should I attend therapy?
Weekly sessions are recommended, especially at the beginning, to support momentum, continuity, and deeper therapeutic work.
Is therapy confidential?
Yes. Therapy sessions are confidential, with a few legal exceptions, including:
Risk of harm to yourself or others
Abuse of a child, elder, or dependent adult
Court orders or legal requirements
Should I do individual therapy or couples therapy?
For relationship concerns, couples therapy is often recommended as it tends to be more effective.
However, in cases involving ongoing affairs, addiction, or violence, individual therapy may be more appropriate initially.
Are sessions offered in person or via video (telehealth)?
I offer both in-person and telehealth sessions.
