  • As a marriage and family therapist intern in San Diego, I have had the privilege of being a part of people’s life journey. Sometimes I can do that by helping them as individuals and sometimes I get to be part of a couple’s story by providing couples therapy.
  • My name is Rina Podolsky, I approach therapy with an open heart, I offer a non-judgmental, friendly approach where I sit down with my clients to collaborate with them to look at the positive things that they have accomplished, the areas of growth and in setting the goals that will take them to where they want to go. The final destination is never imposed by me, I will however support and help them in the process of making those difficult and long reaching decisions.
  • During session they will see me taking an active part in the process of helping clients, understand organize and use their newly acquired knowledge to create the changes they are seeking.
  • I like using different methods based on what best suits the clients process and preferences. I have been trained in different modalities including, Bio-feedback, Narrative Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Mindfulness, Systems Theory, Motivational Interviewing, Gottman Method, Brief Solution focused therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I am also committed to my consistent growth as a therapist and learning new skills and techniques is an ongoing quest.
